Yannis Panagiotidis was born and raised in Athens, Greece. He is married and father of two daughters.
In 1998, he graduated from the Biology Department of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Since then, he is working as an embryologist and in 2003, he became the lab manager of IAKENTRO IVF laboratories.
As part of his training, he has visited several IVF units in the USA and Europe, where he was involved with all assisted reproduction techniques, especially in topics related to embryo culture, preimplantation genetic diagnosis (PGD), Quality management and cryopreservation of embryos and oocytes.
In 2013, he completed his PhD on the cryopreservation of embryos and oocytes by the vitrification method. He is author of numerous scientific papers and oral presentations in international conferences.
