Obstetrical Ultrasounds

  • Ultrasound measurement of embryo nuchal translucency: 11th – 14th week of gestation
  • Obstetrical transvaginal ultrasound: 14th – 16th week of gestation, early prenatal diagnosis of fetal anatomical abnormalities
  • Obstetrical ultrasound level II: 18th – 20th week of gestation, diagnosis of fetal anatomical abnormalities

Fetal echocardiogram: 20th – 22nd week of gestation, diagnosis of congenital fetal heart defects

Amniocentesis: (17th – 18th week of gestation)

Chorionic villus sampling (CVS): (11th – 12th week of gestation)

Foetal blood sampling (omphalocentesis): Blood sampling from the foetal umbilical cord (>20th week of gestation)

Cardiotocography (CTG): Foetal biophysical profile to test normal foetal functions

Colour Doppler ultrasound test

High-risk pregnancy: Treatment of pregnancies complicated by haematological or endocrine disorders such as diabetes, high blood pressure, etc.

Foetal skin biopsy

Intrauterine treatment of the foetus

Intrauterine blood transfusion to the foetus (Rhesus incompatibility)

Intrauterine drainage of foetal obstructive uropathy

Intrauterine drainage of fluid from the foetus’s chest
